   I don’t know how old you are. That is very high
   Be care full if you max that out it will take 10 years to pay it off
   Most first cards are $500-$1,000
   They will increase it as you prove you can pay it

   That’s a high limit. If it is too much depends on you. If you are responsible and do not carry a balance, it doesn’t matter how high your limit is. But, if you are not responsible, then $500 is too much.

   Increasing it would be stupid. You should ask them to lower it so you don’t max it out and get yourself into trouble. You do NOT want to be $9,000 in debt.

   An inquiry on your credit card at all and american express are far greater ways to raise fico to increase it because that puts an inquiry on your credit and different credit limit call and leave it because that if you will never need 9k limit definitely keep in.
